Pricing FAQ

Common questions.

What happens after the 1-year update window?
Your license keeps working forever — that's what 'perpetual' means. After 12 months you stop receiving new releases unless you renew. Renewal runs ~30–40% of the new-license price, billed yearly. You can skip it and stay on the version you have.
What counts as one deployment?
One production cluster — however many MX or SMTP nodes you run inside it. Add nodes freely. Multiple separate production clusters (e.g. for different subsidiaries) need additional licenses or an Enterprise plan.
Are validations really unlimited?
Yes. The Software runs on your servers; we have no way to meter your usage and no incentive to. Run 10 million or 10 billion — the price is the same.
Do you offer discounts for startups / open-source / non-profits?
Yes — email sales@mxguard.sh with a short note about your project. We typically offer 30–50% off for qualifying organizations.
Can I get a refund?
No — all sales are final. Instead of a refund window, we require every customer to attend a live 30-min demo before purchase. You see the product run, ask any technical or commercial question, and decide with full information. See our Refund Policy for the full terms.
Why is a demo mandatory?
MXGuard is self-hosted: once the license key is issued, we have no way to verify whether you've deployed, copied, or kept running the engine. Instead of a refund window we can't enforce, we invest 30 minutes up front so the purchase decision is informed and definitive. Book at cal.eu/mxguard.
Who handles the payment & taxes?
Card payments are processed by Stripe, Bitcoin by our self-hosted BTCPay Server, other cryptocurrencies by NOWPayments, and wire transfers directly. You're responsible for any taxes or duties imposed in your jurisdiction; where required, applicable sales tax / VAT is added at checkout by the payment provider.
