Refund Policy
All sales are final. Every customer must complete a live demo with the MXGuard team before purchase. The demo exists so you can see the product run, ask any technical, deployment, or commercial question, and confirm the fit — so the purchase decision is informed and definitive. After payment, we cannot offer refunds.
1. Why we don't offer refunds
MXGuard is a self-hosted software product. The moment a license key is issued, the customer holds a complete, working copy of the engine that runs entirely inside their own infrastructure — outside our reach and outside our ability to verify whether it has been used, copied, or deployed elsewhere. Standard "money-back" windows that work for SaaS (where we can revoke access on the server side) do not apply.
Instead of a refund window, we offer something more useful: a guaranteed live demo before you pay, where a real human walks you through the product end-to-end and answers the questions you actually have. This is included with every purchase path — there is no way to buy without it.
2. The mandatory pre-purchase demo
Before you can purchase MXGuard, you must book and attend a 30-minute demo session with the MXGuard team. You can book a slot here: cal.eu/mxguard.
The demo is your opportunity to:
- See the dashboard, REST API, and validation flow run live against real test data,
- Ask anything about deployment, infrastructure, scaling, or integration with your stack,
- Confirm the architecture fits your compliance, data-residency, and operational requirements,
- Ask about pricing, contract terms, multi-year discounts, and payment options,
- Walk away certain — either ready to buy, or clear that the product isn't the right fit.
After the demo, we send you a personal payment link. You complete the purchase only when you're ready. There is no pressure during or after the call.
3. What this means in practice
Once you complete payment, the sale is final. This includes — but is not limited to — situations where:
- You change your mind after purchase,
- Your team's priorities shift and you no longer need the product,
- A different solution becomes available,
- You decide to build something in-house instead,
- Internal procurement, budget, or approval changes block deployment on your side.
We've structured the demo specifically so these scenarios surface before purchase, not after.
4. Statutory consumer rights (EU / UK)
If you are a consumer (not purchasing on behalf of a business) resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU and the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. This right is preserved by law and cannot be removed by these terms.
However, in line with Article 16(m) of the Directive (and the equivalent UK provision), this right is extinguished if you expressly consent to the immediate provision of digital content and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. Our checkout requires this acknowledgement before payment is taken. By proceeding through checkout you confirm that you have made this election knowingly.
This Policy does not affect statutory rights you may have that cannot be waived by contract.
5. Defects, non-delivery, and material failure
"All sales final" applies to your change of mind, not to product defects. If the Software materially fails to function as described in our public documentation, or if we fail to deliver the License Key within a reasonable time after payment, contact support@mxguard.sh. Our policy in such cases is to either fix the defect or, where a fix is not feasible within a reasonable timeframe, refund the affected portion of the purchase. This obligation is in addition to any rights you have under applicable law.
6. Cryptocurrency payments
Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency payments are strictly non-refundable, regardless of any other section of this Policy. Cryptocurrency transactions are settled on third-party blockchain networks that we do not control, exchange rates can move significantly between purchase and any potential refund, and the 10% discount applied to crypto purchases reflects this trade-off. By selecting a crypto payment method at checkout, you acknowledge and accept this term.
7. Renewals
Optional annual renewals (which extend your update and support window) are billed transparently. If a renewal charge was processed in error — for example, after you cancelled but before the cancellation took effect — contact us within seven days and we will reverse it. Otherwise, renewal payments follow the same "no refunds" rule as the original purchase.
8. Chargebacks
If you have any concern about your purchase, contact us first at support@mxguard.sh. We respond within one business day. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us — particularly after attending the pre-purchase demo and proceeding through checkout — will be defended in full, with reference to your demo attendance, the explicit consent you provided at checkout, and this Policy. Chargebacks filed in bad faith may also result in immediate License Key revocation under the Terms of Service.
9. License revocation on dispute
If a payment is reversed, charged back, or otherwise withdrawn after a License Key has been issued, the License Key is automatically deactivated and any further use of the Software constitutes use without a license under section 3 of the Terms of Service.
